Yep, 2 days, 2 gray tees, and can you believe it? Neither is the bf tissue tee (he was in the wash).
Monday - Fun day - volunteered in E's class, quick conference with M's teacher on teacher/class for next year, then home to walk Lucy and do a bit of work before meeting 3-Penny Princess in Rockville for some ice cream. Ice cream at 2:00 on a Monday afternoon, with the sun shining. As 3-PP said, she felt like she was playing hooky. Gifford's ice cream - yum! And it was fun to catch up since she couldn't make our mini-JCA outing Saturday night. Of course, I felt like a shlub in my tee & khakis next to her and her perfectly outfitted cardi, skirt & heels. But what can you do? I hid behind my sunglasses and had the blinding tennis ball-colored bag to distract any onlookers from my not-quite-up-to-par outfit.
Which was...J Crew ringspun silk applique critter tee this past winter, BR khakis, and the Isaac target bronze sandals. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to m&m'sMommy, who found the actual tee on Polyvore after I attempted to rig up a facsimile for PV. Thank you again!

Today - 2nd round! Not just of the gray tees, but of the filling replacements. We are now 4 down, 2 to go (next Thursday is the last). This round was much better since it was lower teeth. I did remember to painkiller-up when I got home, so I'm a little less mental right now than I was the last time.
I took an M in this tee - fit is similar to the boyfriend tissue tee. I love the detailing at the neck, it's very pretty. The tee would work well with just about any bottoms, and I would even put it with my black suit the next time I need to wear it. I think it's quite nice for under jackets and cardis, too. The length is on the longer side, but not too long. And it's very soft and cozy. I highly recommend.

I am wearing the J Crew Slub Cotton Raw-Edge Tee (#15329, $29.50, Heather Cloud is $19.99 in store) that I got Saturday night with the girls. Thank you to Summerilla, who steered me towards it. Or rather, came back to the dressing rooms saying "I can't believe I just paid full price for one of these and the gray ones are on sale for $19.99." So of course, I said "Go grab me an M and an L, please!!!"

With the raw edge tee, I just wore white jeans, my Clarks pink peep toes, and my gray BR merino cardi (like the Michelle) - even though it was 80 degrees outside, because the dentist's office is chilly and I was craving warmth and coziness.

It was so much fun to see you! I enjoyed our ice cream break. We should do that more often! I thought you looked like your always superfly-mom self! I loved that canvas tote, BTW - I meant to tell you yesterday. Sorry I was so dressed up. Mom and I were out and about taking care of biz and pleasure. Next time, I'll wear something more cazh...
Enjoy the beautiful week!
I am loving the gray raw edge tee!!! Will have to go check my store for one......gotta give the bf tissue tees a break, haha:) i saw a bunch for sale, but don't recall seeing gray...but, after seeing your picture, (thank you!) in your post, now i want to recheck.
You looked great, Heidi! You are always dressed appropriatly for the situation! Cute picture of Lucy!
3-PP - thanks, I will try to live up to the superfly-mom label! It was fun!!
mrs.anketell - good luck getting it; I think you'll really enjoy it!
Kathy - thank you! You are so kind! Lucy is pretty cute, huh? She lost 2 baby teeth today.
You're outfits look great! I always love your style because it so much like mine! :)
I missed the tee for $19.99 too but I will definitely check 'em out next time I'm there!
Btw, no need to thank me for *finding* the polyvore tee- I know how frustrating it is to *find* items on there that you KNOW are on there! But you are very welcome! Now you can make lots more sets w/ it (hint) ;-) !
You look great in the gray raw edge tee. I need to wear mine soon and it looks fabulous with the white bottoms. I actually pulled my white boot cuts out of the closet on sunday and hope to wear them this week sometime - I just have to stop worrying about getting them dirty.
But seriously I am just so amazed at how quickly things go on sale sometimes at J.Crew. It's always my luck though that it's past the 7 day mark or they just want to be mean and deny me the price adjustment.
Anyways - super cute outfits and like always you look beautiful! And hello cutie-pie Lucy!
MMM - thank you! And PV - I know, much as I love PV, it just kills me sometimes! Will definitely make more sets now that I have it. I think I should just start randomly searching through people's items to fill out my closet!
Summerilla - thank you! I am looking forward to pairing the tee with my Esplanade skirt when I get it! Now I just need to track down the weathered stone.
I love both of these looks on you. You are always so put together. I am jealous. Love the ideas.
So! I just bought the strapless grey dress which fades to cream from Jcrew and I totally feel like I can participate in this conversation. Except! I know that everyone reading this will know what the name of the dress is. But still, I'm coming along, right? :)
You always look oh-so-elegant, Heidi. You really do. :) Even if in just a tee and khakis!
Yay for Lucy growing up to be a big girl!
heidi, those look fantastic on you!! I always try too hard with tees- simple and elegant is the way to go!
monogramgirl, Drewablank & Jemma Ruby - thank you! such kind words, I really appreciate them!
Lissa - oooh, that's the ombre Lorelei dress - I bet it is just gorgeous on you!
HeidiG, your outfits are divine! I am loving those Clark peep toe flats, so cute! Lucy is adorbs! I am sure she and Della would be fast friends. :)
Lady Buttons - thank you! I am quite sure that Lucy & Della would have a lot of fun - there is nothing Lucy likes more than other puppies to play with, and she loves all dogs - big, small, and everything in between.
I love the raw-edge tee on you! (It looked like poop on me, so I'm jealous!)
Great outfits. I've never noticed either tee- very cute! Your JCA get together sounded so fun!
I love the tee w/the flower (pic1). It's so cute w/the khakis!
The grey tees look lovely on you Heidi, and perfect for spring with the way you've paired them with light colored pants!
Lucy is adorable! :)
KatyO - yeah, but didn't you get the dressy jersey cinched dress? that looks good on pretty much everyone but me. :)
Stephanie - thank you, it was fun - so nice to shop with others who appreciate, you know?
Gigi & A Bigger Closet - thank you!!
I love how you style khaki dress pants. So pretty.
