I've Been Tagged...

monogramgirl at A Nantucket State of Mind tagged me to answer the questions below. Thank you – I loved reading yours! Now I hope *I* do them justice. And I am doing it now, since I never got to doing my Queen of ALLL Things Awe-Summmm post.

The Questions:

What is your current obsession?
Lucy, our 5 month old Labradoodle. But it’s mutual, hubby & kids call her my shadow.

What is your weirdest obsession?
Lucy’s poop. I can’t believe I just admitted to that. But she was having intestinal issues, had to go to the vet & get dewormed twice, put on an antibiotic/anti-inflammatory and a bland diet (rice & beef). So the ick stopped last Sunday and I was supposed to take a sample to the vet on Thurs. She had not pooped since Sunday and I was obsessed with waiting for her to poop to get it tested. I actually dreamed on Wed night that she finally did and it was ok. I guess this is a mother’s worry? Don't worry, all is well, I think my brain is going back to semi-normal.

What are you wearing today?
Just posted – J Crew navy henna tee, gray tank, white jeans, Havaianas flip flops, and just threw on a BR gray wool cardi since it’s chilly.

What's for dinner?
Home made pizza – hubby even makes the crust, yum!

What would you eat for your last meal?
I would probably be too nervous to eat.

What's the last thing you bought?
New cordless phones since ours were dying yesterday on conference call.

What are you listening to right now?
Hubby watching tv – prison shows. Why do men like those so much?

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?Coffee or mint chip

What do you think of the person who tagged you?
I really enjoy her blog – reading it always feels like a vacation to me.

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?Beach – Mid-Atlantic (I’m so provincial, I know)

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?Someplace warm, sunny, and peaceful so that I can relax.

Which language do you want to learn?
(more) Italian – I took 2 semesters in college, back in the day, and would love to re-learn it.

What's your favorite quote (for now)?
Totally copying monogramgirl’s but the way my kids say it “Mommy, I love you.” But admittedly, tied with “That’s what she said.”

What is your favorite color?
Navy blue

What is your favorite piece of clothing in your own wardrobe?
J Crew library shawl cardi – it feels like a big hug.

What is your dream job?
What I do now – stay at home and part-time work at home mom. I can’t imagine a better combination.

What is your worst habit?
(copying again) Staying up too late reading (and writing) blogs. Hubby would say it's shopping, but he watches prison shows, what does he know?

If you had $100 now, what would you spend it on?
Let’s be honest…J Crew, probably. If we hadn’t bought the phones today, though, that would have been on the list.

Do you admire any one's style?
Audrey, Grace, Jackie. Is that trite? But also many of the fab JCA’s whose blogs I follow and whose Polyvore’s I like. I get so many ideas from all of you!

Describe your personal style?
Comfy chic. One without the other just doesn’t work. And usually some funky nail polish on toes or tips to keep it out of boring-ville.

What are you going to do after this?
Turn off the computer and hang out with hubby. Hopefully he will change the channel.

What are your favorite movies?
So many – recently seen favorites are Twilight and Death at a Funeral.

What is your favorite fruit?
blackberries

What inspires you?
My friends, my family, nature, the world, anyone willing to do something for someone else.

Your favorite book?
So many choices but my favorite book that I read over the past year is To Kill A Mockingbird. I was actually melancholy when I finished because the conversation was over. Can you believe I never read it in high school or college?

Do you collect something?
nail polish and J Crew tissue boyfriend vneck tees

What is your favorite smell?
freshly cut grass and fresh mulch

What is your fave HGTV show?
House Hunters

That is too funny about Lucy! Well okay, not funny "ha ha" - but we had a similar experience about two months ago. Our (now 9 months old) sheltie seems to have a very delicate digestive tract - according to the vet - and we had about a week or so of - let's just say abnormal - droppings. After some X-Rays and finding out that our dear 'lil Edmund Fitzgerald had been sneaking cigarette butts while out on our nightly walks, the vet recommended Proviable, which seemed to do the trick. But for a good 24 hours or so he didn't *do* anything. My husband was a wreck! It wasn't until things started working normally again that he was able to calm down. Sorry if that's all too much information - just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Lucy's so adorable - so glad to hear she's feeling better! :)

No, RatsOnParade, it really is actually funny ha ha to me. :) When you start to dream about dog poop, that's a sign you are getting way to worked up. Cigarette butts? yuck. Thanks - nice to know I'm not the only one. I think this is one where all the dog & cat lovers will totally get it, and the non-pet lovers will just think "OMG, they are nuts."

That was fun to read, Heidi! I had to stifle a few giggles and guffaws here and there (if I wasn't at the office....), especially about the poop (I totally feel your and RatsOnParade's obsessions - have had similar experiences with my own furbabies!) and the prison shows. Too funny! I'm off to do mine! I know, I know, I'm at the office. But at least I can LOOK like I'm busy typing on the computer. ;)

hee hee hee! Too funny.

Gah - prison shows. They scare the *beejeesuz* out of me. Seriously, Mr. PBP or anyone else in my family being sent to prison is my worst fear in life, and it is all because of prison shows!!! Why oh why do men watch these?

And thanks for the tag!!
