A Trip to the Dentist in the Jaspe

This is going to be a short post as my head is just achy and I need to go to bed - early. I went to the dentist today to get started on filling replacement. Yep, they are about 25 years old or so, and so I have 6 fillings to be replaced. Well, after today - 2 down, 4 to go.

Since I was going to be spending 2 quality hours in the dentist's chair, I was all about comfort. And the office is usually a little chilly, so... bf tissue tee, Jaspe sweatshirt, comfy white jeans and black mocs. (too cold this morning for open toe, unfortunately) Again, still loving the Jaspe - perfect weight for today. Cozy without being too heavy. And you know my love for the bf tees!

My brain was just not in work too much later in the afternoon, so insteadI think I finally caught up on half a week's worth of blog reading today, so hopefully I am up to date with everyone. Why is it that I was a little mentally fuzzy right after but I am much fuzzier now? Is it the achiness? So if I left a comment that makes no sense, now you know why. (or less sense than usual)

Polyvore for today:

But I do have an extra treat (no, sorry not more pics of Lucy - need to do some more soon). Here is the pic of the tee I got hubby at the JC outlet on Sunday. Didn't know when I could snag him for an IRL pic, so I tossed it on really quick this morning. They had some very cool graphic tees for men, and I could see getting more for him there in the future. Slowly but surely crewing him up...

Thanks, Lula Mae! I am MUCH better this morning. I think for the next round, I just need to start popping the Advil or Tylenol when I get home and keep it up through bedtime.

Ugh not a fan of the dentist! I just had my 1st filling and it was not a pleasant experience. I love my dentist but being numbed up and drooling all over myself was no fun.

At least you were smart enough to think about comfort. I wore a suit to work that morning and by the time finished my dental appt I wanted to rip it off. You are starting to make me want the Jaspe really bad. It is so darn cute on you!

You look so cute! I hope you are feeling better. I'm afraid of this being in my near future too. The drill in your PV makes me nervous already!

The Outfit of the day - thank you! (pale colors = calming for me) The tea was a lot of fun - they are all such amazing ladies - it's so nice to meet people face to face.

Dina - thank you! I was all about being comfy yesterday.

Emily - you poor thing - a suit? comfy clothes made it more tolerable for me. Ugh.

ashley - I do love the Jaspe. And I have to say, my dentist is really good - he's very good with the numbing shot and it doesn't hurt nearly as much as I remember from when I was a kid. Apparently the tissue in your gums is the densest tissue in your body and that's why the shot hurts. who knew? Other than Slatena, of course. :)

Stephanie - thank you! Like I said, my dentist is very good and it could have been worse. The discomfort last night was mainly having my jaw muscles stretched and open for most of the 2 hours and everything being kinda tugged around. Next time, I'll remember the Advil/Tylenol right away when I get home and it will be much better!

Ooooooh! I'm OBSESSED with my jaspe sweatshirt! It's THE BEST. I found it hidden on the bottom shelf in a corner of the Georgetown store which made me think that it hadn't been that popular but it was a hidden jewel. I've been wearing mine with an old navy ribbed tank and current/elliott boyfriend jeans but I like how you wear it with the white jeans - will have to try that!
p.s. the boyfriend tissue v-neck is also divine - I've been having to resist going back for a second white one since it's SO DARN SOFT. maybe if they mark it down again...

You look adorable AND comfy! Ohhhh, I hate going to the dentist...so much...I hope you scored a free tooth brush out the deal!

I fully support the slow crewsifying of your hubby...or would crewsifying be what happens when he finds the bill? hee hee hee

I am just loving how versatile the Jaspe is. I really like the way it looks with white jeans.

I like the tee you bought hubby. I buy the BF tee's all the time and he'll groan about it but a couple weeks later its his new favorite tee.

Bellwether - I know, it's so cozy! And I was debating about a 2nd white tee myself today when I was looking for a ridealong with a dress order, in case the dress didn't work out, so the shipping would not have been a total waste. :) BTW, I miss your blog! I always loved reading the DC area info. thanks for visiting!

PBP - thanks! and crewsifying is what happens when the JC bill comes and it is too high. :) I am thinking crewification??

Patina - thanks, so much better today!! and wiser...

Summerilla - thanks, I still want to try it with a skirt like you did - that was seriously way cute!

Your pose in the picture almost says "I really don't want to go to the dentist". So cute! :)

I hope you feel better!

A Bigger Closet - that's so funny - that is a bit how I was feeling - I was trying to immerse myself in the lightweight coziness of the Jaspe. :) Much better today, thanks for asking!
