White Rosette Tee - Live and in Polyvore.

First of all, I would like to thank J'Adore These Stores since I won the Monday giveaway of Gap's new scent, Close. Needless to say, I am very excited!! I don't like most perfumes - especially really heavy ones, so a "salty floral citrus" sounds perfect for me!! Thank you, JTS!!

On to today...Finally wore the J Crew Rosette Tee in white. So here is my first Polyvore with the rosette tee:

And here is the IRL pic. It's ok as an outfit. (and no idea what's going on at the waistband on my right side - maybe the cardi was stuck to the tee?) I would have liked, hmmm, let's see...darker khakis, or rolled/cuffed khakis, or dark jeans, or white jeans. Somehow the long light khakis just felt a little too bland to me with the light Jackie. Maybe the jewelry didn't have enough oomph.

In any case, I wasn't feeling it so much today. And didn't have much time to correct it as the dentist's office called and I totally spaced on my 10 am appointment today so I had to run out and couldn't worry about it any longer.

Loved the white rosette tee though. I already laundered it and it came out just fine (turned inside out on delicate cycle).

What would you have done to doctor this outfit? Or would you just put it out of its misery? Please share...

I did hit J Crew today (1st time since the Mickey card expired), so I'll be posting on that soon. Have to do my award post (thank you, GingerSnap, for the Queen of ALLL Things Awe-Summm Award...I'll get to it, I promise!). Catch you all later in the blogosphere!

Oh how funny, I have the same lavendar cardi and rosette tee on today with the new posie flats I bought. Great minds think alike! You might try pairing it with shell if you don't care for the light khakis. I have on the stretch sateen cotton skirt on in shell. Nevertheless, I still think you look really cute:)

I love the outfit, I think it looks good with the rosette tee and the lavender cardigan. I hate when you feel rushed and at the same time aren't happy with your outfit. I think you looked great though!

I also nominated you for the same award today... I tried to find people I hadn't thought received it yet. Getting 2 just means your blog is that fabulous!

Have a great weekend!

Did you hang dry the tee? Mine is in the laundry basket waiting it's first wash, I probably would not have bought it if I had read the tag! You look great today, I like the neutrals and light colors!

I think the white rosette and the cardi would have looked more "relaxed" with jeans.....if that's what you wanted. Otherwise, I love the outfit!!

Well, I think you look great, but if you're looking for other options...what about your Nicky skirt?

I thought you looked lovely IRL in this outfit!

i love what you are wearing. For inspiration and since it's infused with color,i use my banana republic statement necklace for options on what to pair with lavender. The necklace has yellow, white, pink and green. Try those colors and let me know what you think. BTW, i remember you mentioning that you had a BR statement necklace, but you didn't show pics....i am still curious to see it. hint, hint.

I think the outfit looks smashing and brighter than what you've worn the past couple days...YOU LOOK GORGEOUS IN THAT PURPLE JACKIE!

I love you in lavender! Looks great!

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I really appreciate it! I do love this Jackie and I really like the misty lavender.

I think mrs.anketell nailed it when she talked about "relaxed". I almost felt like this was too prim, if that makes sense. Better jewelry, or a change in the pants (cuffing, brighter khaki or even med jeans, etc) would have made it more me. I usually love all-light outfits - I am famous for the white top/light khaki bottoms - trust me, you'll see a good bit of that this spring/summer. :)

Kathy - yes, I hung the tee to dry. Technically, I put it right-side-out and slung it over the upstairs railing. i think I've mentioned before, I'm lazy when it comes to laundry. :)

Patina - I hear you on the necklace. I'll put it on my list of to-do's, I promise. I already have tomorrow's outfit picked out, but I'll pull out the BR fall necklace soon.

Emily & FFM - I was thinking a skirt would have been a good option, too. Maybe I just needed to show a littler more skin, even at the ankle?

I think the outfit looks very pretty on you!

I like the muted colors! You can totally pull this off with your coloring. ;)

I've been trying to figure out if I could pull these colors (or combinations of similar muted colors thereof) at the office without looking too casual. Hmmm...

And oh, congrats on the double-nom for the award! :D

Late late late...I feel like the freaking rabbit in Alice in Wonderland.

You look smasing in this outfit. SO PRETTY! And I like the lighter colors all together. Very fresh!

Have a nice, SPF-filled day.

I am also late, but I do like this outfit. Perhaps capris or even white matchstick jeans would look nice too.

And I also nominated you for the award that's going 'round. Sooo now you have 3. :)

It's never too late - I always love to hear what's on your mind. Thank you all for the feedback. Apparently it worked better than I thought it did as an outfit. I suppose that's better than the other way around. :)

Petunia & CECE - thank you!

Drewablank - we've never chatted about your work, so I can't really say but offhand, I would say this would work in some more tailored dressier pants - so you know, slacks instead of chinos.

Dina - SPF-filled - hehehe, you bet!

KatyO - thank you! I'll be over soon to check it out, but have walk Lucy before the bus. and good suggestions - i actually tried white matchsticks yesterday at the Crew, but they were too big and I just didn't have enough time or energy to get into other jeans sizes. jeans trying is just never as simple and straightforward as it seems it should be.
