Wearing Today (incl new Merino Michelle in Beechwood)

Ahhhh the love of J Crew's Merino Michelle cardi (#11659, orig $88, online $49.99-whatever, in store $19.99 and then 25% Mickey card!!) Seriously, folks, $15. How can you go wrong?

I picked up the beechwood on sale last Friday. Do I need another cardi? Probably not, but I actually don't have anything in this color, and I wore my charcoal BR cardi just like this one all the time this past winter, so I imagine I will enjoy it. Since I hate to have clothes hanging in the closet without being worn, I decided to pull it out for today as it's still a bit chilly. I paired with a shell bf vneck tissue tee (like these 2 colors together!), jeans, pearls, and some black mocs. I feel a bit Laura Petrie-ish in the cuffed jeans/pearls/loafers, but hey, it works for me. Yes, these are the F21 pearls.

Polyvore for today:

Keeping this short, because I got a lot of ("real") work finished and want to walk Lucy before picking up the kiddies at the bus stop. I want to share some info on the new shampoo & conditioner I found and discuss the J Crew shoe love, since I just got my first pair of non-flip flops/sneakers.
But I'll leave you with some Lucy pics from this morning...

Hi Heidi!!! You look so sweet in that outfit...I bet you kept rubbing your arms (that is what I do when I wear my michelle--it is that soft). Did you have to take it off halfway through the day? It got real hot here in NOVA!

BTW, my hubby re-sent the package. Turns out it wasn't the address...my dear, sweet dad forgot to put enough postage. Silly!!! ;)

mrs.anketell - too funny! we should compare closets, lol! I am loving the beechwood with the shell pink!

sparrows&sparkle, emily, Issy - thank you!

Patina - well you know what that means, right? It's a sign. You are supposed to still be on your shopping break (my new name for it). When the time is right, you'll find something even better, I am sure.

Cari - yes, another cardi is always useful!

Dina - yes, the Michelle is so soft. You seriously think I took my sweater off? You know how cold I run. I was a little warm when I walked Lucy before the bus stop, but never did quite take it off. And it just totally chilled down and hailed. Crazy spring. And say thanks to Mr. Dina for me!!

Don't you just love how this cardi fits?! I almost got this color too, but I figured five of them was too much. ;)

I noticed you choose a lot of neutrals. that's usually the way I go as well. I've enjoyed your fun comments!

Heidi, I love your blog and LOVE this particular outfit!

Question on the tee: How much shrinkage, if any, have you seen with these bf tissue tees? I am debating between two sizes and the question of shrinkage (or not) would really help me decide. Thank you!

lily-g - thank you, and thanks for stopping by!

KatyO - yes, do love the fit. 5? yay you! I would say you are pretty set!! :)

Lissa - thanks! yes, like you, I am a neutrals girl, without question. But not so much brown & black - I am all about the creams, tans, grays, navy's - so the lighter neutrals, I guess.

PaperBagPrincess - they actually didn't have much in my size. I think this was the only M.

Ashley - I bet the sorbet is really pretty on you. Gotta love the less-than-$20 sweaters!!

Slastena - thank you. yes, I was very grateful for the sun today - I thought it was supposed to be mostly rainy, so it was a special treat!!

Ann - thank you and thanks for visiting!! I have not seen any shrinkage (hehehe, always makes me thing of Seinfeld, sorry) in the bf tissue tees, and I have washed some of them 5 times or so. I would go with the smaller size.

Posey - like I said, this was the only color in my size, so it was an easy decision. I bet it would be lovely on you, too.
