J Crew Jackie Cardigan - Misty Lavender

My Jackie cardi (#85613, $59.50) finally arrived this week, yay! Took long enough because, of course, I am adding in the week from when I purchased the wrong size and it took me that long to get back to the store to return the L and order the M via red phone. And, by the way, since they didn't have the right size in store, I asked if I could order from the store and use my 25% card - the key here is that the SA said she would check, so when she placed the call via red phone, she requested that they honor the 25% card since the store was out of stock.

I feel like spring has really truly arrived! (until the cold & rain we are expecting on Tuesday) So it was perfect day to pull out the Jackie cardi and the Seaside pants. By the way, I did go ahead and tack up the side seams of the Seaside pants so that they stay rolled. 32" inseam is definitely too short for me, but I love how they work cuffed up. I will again profess my love for these pants - very comfy, very cute, so great for spring and so perfect for summer, too.

So notice that I actually tucked in my tank and - gasp - am wearing a belt. Ok, it was the belt the pants came with, but give me a little credit here, folks. I do like the look of these pants with a tucked in top...doesn't mean I'll be doing that all the time, though - you know me...

I added the twisted crystal since the cardi was open and I pulled out the old J Crew olive green Converse-type sneaks. I actually really liked the olive sneaks with the lavender.

Back to the Jackie - love love love. This color is fantastic - a perfect shade - love the misty lavender. I am planning to enjoy this cardi a lot.

Here's my Polyvore for today:

sparrowsandsparkles - good luck with getting the Jackie. I saw your comment on your blog that your parents are maybe going to pick it up for you. if not, i would definitely try the red phone again - can't believe they wouldn't do the discount for you!!

patina - thank you, and I'm sure your lav corsage is totally fab too!!

Anon@12:25 - thanks and I honestly wish I could do the seaside pants unrolled because that would definitely increase the wearability, but alas, 32" just doesn't cut it and they aren't offered in tall.

Gigi - thank you so much!

Soo pretty! I really like the tucked in look. And I'm boring your idea of permanantly rolling up pants, because it's so annoying re-rolling them throughout the day!

Luvv the Jackie in Misty Lavender! I just bought one in Sweet Nectarine! I just love J.Crew's colors--and their "names" for their colors! smile

I totally purchased this lavender Jackie cardi too! It is just soooo pretty and reminds me so much of spring. BUT I am totally guilty: I haven't even worn mine yet!!! I'm so bad! I am just thinking of something *perfect* to pair it with :)

P.S. Love your outfit today!

Heidi- this color is absolutely amazing with your skintone. The whole outfit is awesome. I have one Jackie shell, but not cardi and heard numerous people raving about them. Can you elaborate moreon why so many JCA seem to adore Jackies?

Slastena - saved your reply for a separate comment. First of all, thank you!! I should get more in this color.

But how to explain the special allure of the Jackie and the fact that Joyce has a million...It's just such a perfect piece. It is truly the perfect, classic cardigan. It works with just about any top/bottom combo you want to wear it with - the white tshirt of the sweater world, if you will. And the name - after Jackie O, of course. Any time you throw it on, you are instantly more polished.

But that's just my love. You should really post this query on your blog - I would absolutely *love* to see the responses.

I love the color of the Jackie on you Heidi! It has to be THE prettiest color for spring from J. Crew this year. :) I agree the style of this cardi works perfectly with just about anything it's paired with.
