Massage this morning (ahhhh, I think my muscles finally unkinked from the mulching this weekend) plus errands and then work and puppy time in the afternoon, until the kiddies came home. Now it's homework/snack time.
This outfit could definitely use some more accessorizing, but it was a chill day, and I think I get points for not actually wearing sweats. (Gigi - yes, I know I need a great pin on the cardi, but haven't found one yet...working on it...) Not to mention our crazy weather where it swapped between rain and sun multiple times during the day.
The Polyvore is not so great with this one because I couldn't find a great dupe for the sweater jacket, but here it is...
Wearing Today-04/22-09 by HeidiGblog featuring Geox shoes
Question time: I actually would have loved to wear my red patent flats today, but the problem is that I haven't switched out the green bag for the white. And it's April, not December...
The green purse IRL. I use a dupe for it on Polyvore:
The red patent flats IRL (again, I use dupes on Polyvore).
To me, Kelly Green + Red = Christmas Colors. These are way too close for me. What do you think?

ok ok ok you have talked me into buying some boyfriend tees! I love that parsley color... I will get to a B&M to look before the red cards expire!
The bag and shoes are both great... but I agree the color combo yells Christmas! I don't have a green bag but I looove red shoes!!! They're kind of a neutral, imo!
Those red shoes are cute. Where are they from?
Nice outfit, as always. Keep 'em coming.
sparrowsandsparkles-I do love the bf tees. I love red shoes, too, but carrying the green bag totally negates them - which may be why I don't carry it more often!!
Melissa - thank you! The red shoes are from Clarks Artisan line. I got them last summer on sale at Lord & Taylor.
Yup. I think we have an addiction to boyfriend tees:) I have one in natural, gray, shell pink, and i got the "mushroom"color, but now i don't like it!! (it looked more greenish than brown to me) I LOVE the tees, the are extra comfy and don't shrink!! Cute outfit!! Love red shoes!!
haha, you are too funny with your bf tee obsession...when i read your first line ("last of the tissue boyfriend tees") i was like, "yeah right!" so true...at least for now, until they come out with even more fabulous colors and we'll have to succumb to the power of the soft lovelies :)
yeah our weather was wacky here too! i even saw some snow flurries. now it's windy but sunny and COLD. I'm a little annoyed at spring right now...
Ooh, a massage sounds just perfect right now...I definitely feel you with the addiction to the bf tees. I swear I have to have EVERY color or my collection won't be complete. Cute sweater and even cuter shoes!!
I take my hat off to you. Every day you post a great outfit and look so beautiful. I love the red shoes and the pedi. Heidi, i want to be like you when I grow up lol. On a day to day basis, I am never this pulled together.
im with sparrow.. im totally going to buy some bf tees this weekend! AND i LOVE that jacket/sweater youre wearing! oooh AND the patent red shoes! you are always so stylish! i wish we could go shopping together! what fun we'd have!
oh! and i meant to say YAY for Clarks!! Love them! (I think I'm getting those Clarks Sandals later this week...)
I love the boyfriend tees, but I have the crew neck...your pedicure looks nice, what color polish is it? As always, you look very nice!
You always look so put together!
Your pedicure looks great!!
Oooh, a massage, how nice! Your outfit looks great too (and you get extra kudos for not doing the sweat pant thing!)
Those red shoes are super cute. A pin on the sweater would be cute, but it's a nice casual outfit w/out it. :-)
love the shoes...and toes! Thanks for posting such cute outfits.
Ooh, the tees are so pretty and comfy. I think you have a right amount of accessories for this look, very tasteful. Also, the shoes and toes are adorable.:)))
Love the boyfriend tissue tees also. I actually bought the parsley color on monday from the store in Georgetown, I just couldn't resist. Which B&M did you find the flamingo? I have been looking for more colors before the mickey card expires.
Also the Reston town center store is having an event on friday 4/24 from 10-2 to show the new roll out and have refreshments. Julie Stark, I believe she is the store manager, sent me an email invite yesterday. I thought I'd pass it along. I figured the DC JCA's might be interested!
Sorry for the delay, girls - I crashed at 7:30 last night...
mrs.anketell- I tried the mushroom color, too, but went with the parsley because it worked better on me. yes, clearly, we have issues. :)
AppGal - yes, "for now". I actually am hoping we'll get some amazing brights for summer. I tried the breeze but am waiting a little longer before I get it (which probably means the last day of the Mickey card, sadly) Can't wait to see the sandals when you get them!!! (ps - stinky snow. I love it, but not in April!)
PoseyFord - thanks, and yeah, I'm trying to pace myself with the collection.
Patina -thank you, but I think you always look fab!
Ashley - thanks, would love to shop with you, too - you always look great.
Kathy - I actually haven't tried the crewneck - maybe I missed it in the store? I just gravitate towards the vnecks to offset my broad shoulders. The polish is either OPI Light My Sapphire (summer 2007 Night Brights) or Spehora by OPI Never Enough Shoes. I think it's the latter because the shoe pic was from about a month ago, and that was my standard fall/winter pedi shade before I swapped out to the slightly more spring-y navy.
Petunia -thank you, I like your pedi, too. I just never like brights on me for more than a day or two - it's weird - a holdover from the big toe trauma inflicted by Emma 2-3 years ago when I could only wear darks.
GingerSnap - thanks - yeah, the massage wasn't exactly just relaxing, but was so fabulous because of all the knots that are no longer in my neck, shoulders, back.
Gigi - thanks! I do think a pin would help when I don't have as much color going on. (If Dina is reading this, she is rolling her eyes at my use of the word "color".)
monogramgirl - thank you! and thanks for visiting!!
Slastena - thank you!! The nice thing about the shoes is that they don't show a lot of toe, so if the mani isn't totally great, it's not too bad!
Summerilla - I got the flamingo at Montgomery Mall (my usual B&M) and they had quite a stack. Wish I could join you at Reston, that would be fun - but my parents are coming up to visit for the weekend at we're meeting at Montgomery Mall for "lunch".
Heidi--I really like the black loafers you have on--that's the Preppy Girl in me--I would stick with the black shoes with your Parsley BF tee! WE don't want to even REMOTELY THINK about CHRISTMAS right now!
You look beautiful as usual!
You look adorable! I think the green/red is ok actually. You've got many other colours going on that break it up. I don't think anyone is going to think xmas - though I definitely understand your concern!
luvallthingsjcrew - thank you, and yes, it's way too early (or late?) for Xmas.
Paper Bag Princess - thank you, but I think the green/red thing would just bug me to no end and that's not fun!
I love your sweater!! What is it?
Kristin - the sweater is from Banana Republic, last winter. Thanks for visiting!
hmm...for some reason, I don't think the green bag and red shoes are too christmas-y. I think it's because the rest of your outfit is so warm-weather oriented, plus the bow and the peep toes on the shoes keep them very spring. That's my two cents anyway :)
