Wearing Today - J Crew White Rosette Tee and Beechwood Merino Michelle

So last Friday, with my Mickey crewpon in hand, I hit up J Crew (again) before meeting my parents for lunch, and lo and behold, there were 2 nice stacks of rosette tees sitting on the front table, one of which was white. I had already been clued in on the white ones from Ema in her post, so they were on my radar. So I grabbed a couple sizes in white and went back to try on. I ended up getting the white, which I am just thrilled with! I sized up to Large due to the sheerness of it, so it's a little slouchy, but not slopping, IMO. And my mom, who doesn't shop at J Crew, loved the tee so much, we went back and got one for her (using my crewpon, of course).

I think this will be a perfect piece for me. I wear white camis, tanks, and tees so often, and this will just give some extra detail. And I wore it today, to go meet a friend for lunch. It was a chilly day, but I am totally feeling the spring vibe, so I paired it with white jeans and the Merino Michelle in Beechwood. I feel beachy, or beechy, not sure which. I did swap out the sandals in the Polyvore set for the Joley flats, since they had a little more coverage. (by the way - the white jeans lasted for about 6 hours, before I swapped them out for sweats - but I put them away clean to wear another day - so they were not done in by the puppy - yay!!)

Polyvore for today:

And here's the BIG question - I haven't found a pic of this tee anywhere on Polyvore or elsewhere to use on PV. Has anyone else? I don't think they even had white when it was first online. If anyone has a clue or can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

Hi Heidi! I mentioned you in my blog today! I picked the white rosette tee up today. I love the natural color I got from Ashley but had to have it in white too. I'm like you, I love wearing white in the summer and this adds a little something special. Thanks!

Cute oufit! I only had mine on for a few shopping hours before I switched it out for some sweats too!

Very pretty. Excellent idea to size up due to the sheerness factor! That tee is just sooooo pretty!

Congrats on getting the white Rosette tee, Heidi! You look great! I actually made a Polyvore earlier with the Beechwood/White combo...it's one of my new outfits. We'll practically be cybertwins.;)

I have the shell rosette tee on as I am typing! I love it! Well on Ema's blog I said that I didn't like the white but I got to thinking about it and I just knew that if I didn't get the white one I would be sorry about it later on down the road. TGIF for the Crewpon.

I love how you are wearing it. So cute!

Oh that outfit is soooo super pretty! I JUST received my WHITE rosette tee in the mail and guess what?! IT HAS A HOLE IN IT! I'm sooo sad! I'm pondering just keeping it and wearing a cardi to cover it.. but no, I want one hole free! You look fab! Can i just shop your closet?!

Summerilla - yay, you got a white one, too! Can't wait to visit your blog again (I am trying to respond before I do my reading) It's funny, "cream" has always been a great color for me - but JC's natural just looks so awful on my skintone this time of year.

Patina - you know, I just don't want to hear it...I may have the rattan clutch, but you have that amaaaaaazing satin gala tote and the cutie-pie flower bag coming (one of these days) from Boden. Clearly, I'm the big loser here. Plus I believe you have a rolling ruffles tank in addition to your rosette tee, whilst, poor me, rolling ruffles were ridiculous, so I just have the rosette. get what I'm doing here??? ;)

mrs.anketell - I still can't find the white tee, but am trying to get a pic IRL that I can post here and then cut to PV. You'll see if I actually succeed. and yay, on recreating - you have the beechwood Michelle, too! The shoes are the Joley flats in bronze twig. Love them! The first J Crew "real" shoes that aren't too tight in the toe box. And, um, I have You Don't Know Jacques on my toes, but my fingers have no color, just a couple of coats of Essie millionails to do some interim strengthening. I have been grossly negligent to my fingernails, and need to do some color. Won't happen tonight, though. :)

sparrowsandsparkles - thanks. yeah, I usually size up if something is sheer and that works for me - when it's sheer, you can still see shape, you know? and then you don't have any bulges so in your face. (or I don't...)

FFM - don't know if you saw my note on the PV set - but I was inspired by your Flowers & Stripes set yesterday - just loved the color combo!!

Emily - thank you! the white looked better on me than the shell - all these pale colors do different things on different people. Hope you enjoy the white, too!

AppGal - this was actually my mom's 1st J Crew purchase. She's usually an Ann Taylor/Talbots girl with a little Nordstrom/Macy's on the side, but we do shop a good bit together. I love shopping with my mom, even if we don't always like the same things - it's so great to have that honest opinion and different perspective.

ashley - NOOOOOOOOOO, a hole? Can you exchange? I'm pretty sure the Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) store had XS and/or S. And I am totally cracking up at the idea of you shopping *my* closet - you would be positively swimming.

I love this tee in all of the colors!

Hi, the white one looks great on you and I LOVE the pairing with the bleachwood Michelle.
The white was never offered on the website, they only had natural and shell. The natural went on sale (I think that the shell sold out before) and then they replaced it with the white. That's why you can't find the pic, I guess...

Love your look today!

Petunia - i agree about all the colors - but the white definitely was the best option for me.

Ema - thanks for the explanation - i was wishing someone had captured it somewhere, but I guess I'm back to my attempt to take a not-so-crappy picture.

Gigi - thanks, and yes, we love Ema!!

Patina - :)
